On The Road

AIM is a non-profit senior program funded under Title III of the Older Americans Act through Baltimore City’s Commission on Aging and Retirement Education, member’s dues and contributions, and other funding sources.

To our delight, some of our trips have been selling out. Unfortunately, some members have had to be placed on a waiting list. To get on the trip you want, we suggest the following procedures:

When you get your newsletter, pick out the trip(s) you want.
Be sure to call the office and make a reservation(s).
Send in your check for payment to confirm your reservation and seat. Seating will be assigned on a first come basis depending on receipt of your check. Your reserved seat will be for transportation to and from the event.

NOTE: Payments to confirm reservations are expected promptly. If we do not receive payment, we cannot hold your seat unless special arrangements have been made. If you cancel less than twenty-four hours prior to the trip and we cannot fill the seat, we cannot refund your money.

When a trip is very popular and has a long waiting list, we will run it again in the future. If you are on the waiting list, you still need to call in to reserve a seat on the bus.

February 4, 2010, Thursday: 9:00 AM P/U for Dollar Store shopping in Glen Burnie and MOYO at the best buffet in town, Golden Corral. $10.00 Transportation & MOYO.

February 8, 2010, Monday: 9:00 AM P/U to shop at White Marsh Mall and enjoy Macy’s, Sears, J.C. Penny, and other stores. $10.00 Transportation.

February 11, 2010, Thursday: 9:00 AM P/U for fresh market food and craft shopping at the Pennsylvania Dutch Market in Hunt Valley. $10.00 Transportation.

February 12, 2010, Friday: 9:30 AM P/U for a Pre-Valentine’s Day luncheon at the Olive Garden Italian Restaurant. Enjoy all you can eat soup or salad along with the entrée of your choice. $7.00 Transportation & MOYO.

February 18, 2010, Thursday: 9:00 AM P/U for a shopping trip at Towson Towne Center. Enjoy Macy’s, Nordstroms, and many other specialty shops and restaurants. $10.00 Transportation.

February 22, 2010, Monday: 8:00 AM P/U to go shopping at the Super Wal-Mart in Shrewsbury, PA & MOYO at the Cracker Barrel. $13.00 transportation.

February 23, 2010, Tuesday: 9:00 AM P/U for a fun-filled day at the Hollywood Casino with the one-arm bandits. $30.00 Transportation with $25.00 FREE PLAY coupon.

February 25, 2010, Thursday: 9:30 AM P/U come out of the cold and enjoy a Soul Food luncheon at Granny’s of Owings Mills. $7.00 Transportation & MOYO.

Reminder

2010 Census Bureau will be sending forms via the US postal service directly to your address. Please take time to fill out the survey. Much of our federal funding is based on the demographic numbers and statistics received through census data. As a result of 2000 census, many older adult programs were cut because it was reported the city lost approximately 16% of its elderly population. If you need help or are confused about filling out the forms, do not hesitate to call AIM.
